Business & Human Rights #2 – Human Rights Policy: Why and How?
QUAND ?
01.10.2026
09:00
DESCRIPTION :
Companies have a responsibility to respect human rights, including throughout their value chain. Against a backdrop of evolving regulations, these issues are becoming central to organisations, going beyond mere compliance.
As part of a four-session series dedicated to human rights, IMS Luxembourg offers a structured program to help organizations move from understanding these issues to their practical implementation: identifying risks, structuring their approach, and implementing appropriate actions.
The goal of this session is to provide a practical and actionable understanding of human rights policy.
On the agenda:
- Why a company needs a human rights policy
- How to develop and adapt it to its specific context
- What are the essential components of a credible human rights policy (commitments, scope, governance, implementation)
The session will draw on concrete examples, best practices, and key considerations:
- what works,
- what to avoid,
- how to adapt the policy to the reality and maturity of the company.
