Sustainability Awards 2024

Following the first edition held in 2022, the 2024 edition confirmed the desire to promote high-impact initiatives and showcase best practices in Luxembourg. The ceremony was held on 3 October 2024, attended by members of the jury, the pre-jury and more than 200 participants.

Four prizes were awarded, as well as a Jury’s Favourite award, to recognise particularly outstanding initiatives.

The trophies, created by Luxembourg artist Jacques Schneider, highlighted the commitment and creativity of the winners.

PEOPLE : Devoteam – #TechForPeople Program: empowering for a more inclusive and sustainable future with Tech

The People Award was presented to Devoteam for its #TechForPeople programme, which aims to strengthen digital inclusion and social impact.

Through this initiative, the company is using technology to create a more inclusive society by developing practical solutions that promote digital access and autonomy for the target audiences.

PLANET : Composil – Carpet ReUse Program

In the Planet category, Composil was recognised for its Carpet ReUse Programme, an initiative aimed at extending the life of floor coverings and promoting a circular economy approach.

This programme helps reduce the sector’s environmental impact by promoting the reuse of materials and more sustainable resource management.

PROSPERITY : CERATIZIT – Product Carbon Footprint for carbide tools

The Prosperity Award was presented to CERATIZIT for its project to calculate the carbon footprint of carbide tools.

This initiative aims to enhance the environmental transparency of products and support more responsible production by placing climate issues at the heart of industrial strategy.

SUSTAINABILITY TEAM : BIL – A Journey Towards Sustainability

The Sustainability Team category recognised BIL for its A Journey Towards Sustainability project, illustrating the collective commitment of its teams to implementing a structured, cross-functional sustainability strategy.

COUP DE COEUR DU JURY : Restopolis – Food4Future – Towards More Sustainable Food Systems (F4F)

The jury awarded its Coup de Coeur prize to Restopolis for its Food4Future programme, which aims to develop more sustainable food systems in the catering industry.

This initiative focuses on nutritional quality, reducing environmental impact and raising awareness of food issues.

Sustainability Awards 2022

This first edition showed the commitment of organisations: 60 entries were received from organisations of all sizes, sectors, and types.

The pre-jury, composed of 20 independent experts, designated the nominees for each category. The final jury, consisting of multi-stakeholder representatives, selected the winners of the four categories.
